{"id":1892,"date":"2022-02-20T21:33:56","date_gmt":"2022-02-20T17:33:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cricketfever.org\/?p=1892"},"modified":"2022-02-20T21:36:12","modified_gmt":"2022-02-20T17:36:12","slug":"wasim-akram-inducted-in-pcb-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cricketfever.org\/2022\/02\/20\/wasim-akram-inducted-in-pcb-hall-of-fame\/","title":{"rendered":"Wasim Akram Inducted in PCB Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Former Pakistan Captain and 1992 Cricket World Cup Winner and Man of the Match winner &#8211; Left arm pace bowling legend Wasim Akram was formally inducted in the Pakistan Cricket Board\u2019s PCB Hall of Fame on 20th February 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Former West Indian Captain and batting legend Sir Vivian Richards who is also a member of ICC Hall of Fame formally inducted Wasim Akram into the exclusive list by presenting him a commemorative cap and plaque before the start of 28th match in the HBL PSL between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, which coincidentally is also Wasim Akram\u2019s Home Ground.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wasim Akram is considered the greatest left arm pace bowler in the 2 key format of Cricket &#8211; Tests and ODIs and in his illustrious career for Pakistan spanning from the year 1984 till 2003, Akram took a total of 916 wickets across Tests\/ODIs and scored a total of 6,615 runs in Tests and ODIs combined with a highest test batting score of 257 not out* against Zimbabwe. Wasim Akram was the first bowler to take 502 wickets in ODIs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many people who regularly play <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinoadvice.io\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">casino online<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and bet on cricket felt that it is only a matter of time in which Wasim Akram will also be formally inducted in the prestigious ICC Hall of Fame,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wasim Akram is one of the eight Pakistan stalwarts who are members of the PCB Hall of Fame. I also want to compliment the Pakistan Cricket Board for launching this initiative to recognise and acknowledge the contributions of former cricketers.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt has been an honour to represent Pakistan over 18 years during which I played in 460 international matches. Every wicket and every run I scored in these matches was priceless. I can\u2019t thank God Almighty enough for providing me the opportunity to serve this great country at the highest level.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI want to thank all my fans who have been my greatest strengths. My first encounter with Wasim Akram was in 1985 in Australia and in the twilight of my career, I was happy I would not be facing him much.
