Former Pakistan Captain and 1992 Cricket World Cup Winner and Man of the Match winner – Left arm pace bowling legend Wasim Akram was formally inducted in the Pakistan Cricket Board\u2019s PCB Hall of Fame on 20th February 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former West Indian Captain and batting legend Sir Vivian Richards who is also a member of ICC Hall of Fame formally inducted Wasim Akram into the exclusive list by presenting him a commemorative cap and plaque before the start of 28th match in the HBL PSL between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, which coincidentally is also Wasim Akram\u2019s Home Ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wasim Akram is considered the greatest left arm pace bowler in the 2 key format of Cricket – Tests and ODIs and in his illustrious career for Pakistan spanning from the year 1984 till 2003, Akram took a total of 916 wickets across Tests\/ODIs and scored a total of 6,615 runs in Tests and ODIs combined with a highest test batting score of 257 not out* against Zimbabwe. Wasim Akram was the first bowler to take 502 wickets in ODIs.<\/span><\/p>\n
