Champions League T20 2009 Full Schedule and Fixtures with Squads List

Airtel_Champions_League_T20 India will host the Airtel Champions League Twenty20 2009 and the cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi will host all the 23 matches of the first edition of Twenty20 Champions League 2009 that is scheduled to begin from October 08, 2009. The eagerly-awaited club championship is set to pump in excitement in the world cricket with 12 teams from six countries with a prize money of 6 Million US Dollars..

There will be four groups of three teams each and they will play each other on a league basis. From each group, top two teams will qualify for second stage and thereafter four teams will qualify for the semi finals.

There will be a total of 23 matches and the teams will be divided into four groups of three each to play on a league basis before the top two teams from each group move on to the second stage. The four top teams from there will play the semi-finals.

Group A: Deccan Chargers (India), Somerset CCC (England), Trinidad & Tobago (West Indies)

Group B: New South Wales (Australia), Diamond Eagles (South Africa), Sussex Sharks (England)

Group C: Royal Challengers Bangalore (India), Cape Cobras (South Africa), Otago Volts (New Zealand)

Group D: Delhi Daredevils (India), Victoria (Australia), Wayamba (Sri Lanka)

  1. I have been waiting for this kind of tournament especially with sussex sharks in the tournament that to in “INDIA” .Giving a suggestion to SEHWAG to mostly concentrate on the frontfoot drives in case of spin.
