Australia under the captaincy of Ricky Ponting will take on India under the captaincy of Anil Kumble in a 4 Match Test Series to be played for the penultimate prize – The Border Gavaskar Trophy

The India vs Australia Test SeriesBorder Gavaskar Trophy”  will begin on 9th October 2008 with the 1st Test to be played at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

All the Test Matches will be telecasted live in India by Neo Sports on Neo Cricket Channel.
