The IPL 2010 Auction threw a major surprise – None of the 8 franchises purchased any of the 11 Pakistani Cricketers shortlisted in the IPL 2010 Auction List.

Various Reasons given by the IPL Management were Non Availability of the Pakistani Players during the IPL,  and According to some of the franchises, It was all due to the current volatile political scenario between India & Pakistan and Government Preassure that they could not take any chance by picking a Pakistani Player today by paying millions only to relieve him if the political situation changed between the 2 countries at a later time.
